Hi! I’m Irah Kwok. My mission is to support Internationally Educated Nurses (IENs) by providing valuable resources and guidance to help IENs excel in their nursing careers and envision themselves thriving in leadership roles within the Canadian healthcare system!

Hi, welcome to the NursingCollective community—I’m so happy you’re here!

I’m Irah! I’m a Canadian RN, Nurse Educator and a former Nursing Instructor to IENs, and a yoga teacher with a passion for teaching and mentoring future nurses. I created this blog as a resource for Internationally Educated Nurses (IENs) like you, designed to help navigate the challenges of transitioning into the Canadian healthcare system.

When I was working as a Nursing Instructor teaching IENs, I noticed the lack of resources, support and guidance when it comes to IENs. I said to myself, one day I will create a community where IENs can come together and support each other in achieving their dreams. That’s why I created this blog and how NursingCollectiveCo was born.

My goal is to bridge the gap between where you are now and where you want to be—whether that’s preparing for the Inspire Global Assessment (NCAS), passing the NCLEX, or building confidence in your job interviews and nursing career.

I've seen the struggles students and IENs face—balancing work, school, family, and the daunting task of preparing for exams like the NCLEX, Inspire Global Assessments (CBA and SLA), and CPNRE.

I've felt that same overwhelm and uncertainty as a former nursing student, which is why I've dedicated myself to bridging those learning gaps and supporting nurses with confidence and clarity. Together, we'll conquer the challenges, leaving no hair to be pulled out in the process!

Check out my YouTube channel where I post daily NCLEX and CBA style questions and weekly videos sharing tips and advice on how to navigate your nursing journey as an Internationally Educated Nurse (IEN).
